I don't know what you were given to examine by SCRO, but I had the opportunity to examine the acutal mark in situ. The photographs on this website are accurate depictions of the mark.
The presentations prepared by SCRO were electronically altered. Since they felt a need to obscure the information for court, I am suspect of anything they might have shown you.
The mark on the door frame from the Marion Ross home was not made by Shirely McKie. That applies to photographs of the mark.
